The present invention relates to a method for producing astaxanthin using a system for culturing microalgae in outdoor culture conditions, optimizing the light conditions using a two-stage culture process, adding a nitrogen source during the growing period, and using a chemical inducing agent during the induction period. Thus, there is an advantage of being able to effectively produce astaxanthin even in sunlight conditions.
