[Problem to be Solved];A technical challenge is development of a novel catalyst constituent material for cleaning combustion gas, a catalyst apparatus using the catalyst constituent material that allow increased contact between individual catalyst metal particles and exhaust gas and of methods for manufacturing the catalyst constituent material and the catalyst apparatus.;[Solution];The catalyst constituent material contains a catalyst carrier 2, which is slurry containing ceramic fine particles, mixed with catalyst metal particles 3 and a pore former 5, which evaporates at high temperature, and the pore former 5 contains long fibers 5L formed of cellulose nano-fibers and/or short fibers 5S formed of cellulose nano-fibers.
