A device for predicting the movement of road users involved in a traffic situation is described. The device is set up to determine an arrangement of the road users within a road network on the basis of sensor data in relation to the road users involved in the traffic situation. The device is also set up to determine, on the basis of the arrangement of the road users within the road network, an acyclic, directional dependency graph which shows the dependencies between the road users in relation to the movements of the individual road users. In addition, the device is set up to predict the movements of the individual road users sequentially as a function of the dependency graph.
