Provided are a health management assistance device and a health management assistance method with which it is possible for nutritional components ingested by a subject to be estimated accurately, thereby making it possible for vital data of the subject to be estimated accurately.　This health management assistance device is provided with: an acquiring unit for acquiring purchased food product information relating to a subject, and eating habit information relating to the subject; an extracting unit for extracting nutritional component information relating to a purchased food product from the purchased food product information; an estimating unit for estimating the nutritional intake of the subject from the nutritional component information of the purchased food product and the eating habit information of the subject; a vital data acquiring unit for acquiring vital data of the subject; and a vital data estimating unit for estimating the future vital data of the subject from the nutritional intake of the subject and the vital data of the subject.
