IAA2 mutant for controlling plant root hair growth and uses thereof

The present invention is an IAA2 protein variant in which the 17th and 66th amino acids of the IAA2 (Indole-3-acetic acid inducible 2) protein consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 are substituted with alanine and serine, respectively, encoding the variant. Regarding the gene and its use, the IAA2 protein variant of the present invention may be usefully used for improving traits related to elongation of root hairs in plants and searching for genes that regulate the elongation of root hairs in other plants.
