A preparation method for a lithium-containing magnesium/aluminum-based composite material, implemented according to the following steps: (1) preparing a magnesium ingot or an aluminum ingot as a raw material, preparing metal lithium, and preparing a salt flux and a reinforcer; (2) heating the salt flux to prepare a salt flux melt, and adding the reinforcer into the salt flux melt to prepare a liquid-solid mixture; (3) pouring the liquid-solid mixture into a normal-temperature crucible and cooling to obtain a precursor; (4) preheating a smelting crucible and then placing the raw material to melt the raw material to form a raw material me (5) controlling the temperature of the raw material melt to be 973-993 K, adding the metal lithium while stirring, adding the precursor while stirring for mixing, and leaving standing after heating to 993-1013 K; and (6) after removing scums, decreasing the temperature of a composite material melt for casting. According to the method of the present invention, the process is simple, the cost is low, the strength of a light-alloy composite material can be greatly improved, a large light-alloy composite material structural part can be prepared, and automated production can be achieved, so that the present invention is significant for development of aerospace industry.
