PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake capable of suppressing uneven wear of a lining. A lining 52 of a brake pad 25 has contact surface portions 66 provided at an intermediate portion in a disc rotation direction and in contact with a disc rotor, and chamfer surface portions 67 provided at both ends in a disc rotation direction and escaping from the disc rotor. It is near the end point 76 inside the disc radial direction of the boundary line 75 between each of the chamfer surface portions 67 on both sides and the contact surface portion 66, and is located inside the disc rotation direction from the end point 76 and the back plate of the piston 90. An arc-shaped arc groove 81 is formed at a position inside the radial direction of the projection surface with respect to the projection surface of the end surface 100 on the 51 side in the contact surface portion 66 in the disc axial direction.
