PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device for reducing insufficient curing of a sealing material. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 1 has a facing substrate 3 having a first lens member 26, an element substrate 2 facing the facing substrate 3, and a sealing material 5 between the facing substrate 3 and the element substrate 2. The first lens member 26 contains silicon oxynitride or silicon nitride inside the sealing material 5, and the region overlapping the sealing material 5 in the plan view of the opposing substrate 3 contains silicon oxide.
