A cup A of india-rubber &c. of the form shown is placed over the breast, and is compressed so that, when released, a suction action is set up, which is stated to increase the growth of the breast owing to increased circulation The edge of the cup fits airtight against the breast, and may, if desired, be coated with glycerine &c. Separate cups are preferably used for each breast, but the two cups are sometimes combined.
