1156. Allan, J. Jan. 16. Drawing, teaching. - Relates to apparatus for teaching model drawing and outdoor sketching. A circular, oblong, or, as shown in Fig. 1, square piece of card, celluloid, wood, metal, &c. is provided with a square, oval, or, as shown, circular opening S, and with a moulding or rim circular in cross-section on the outer or inner, or, as shown, both outer and inner edges. Spring clips D', D" with elastic cords E are adjusted on the rims, and serve to give the outlines of the object ; or sliding spring clips and thin wire or string may be used. The outer rim may be dispensed with, and a scale stamped or marked upon the outer edges instead.
