A spindle a, adapted to be clamped by a bolt d, has mounted upon it a frame e, carrying a motor g by which the frame and a tool-holder s are made to rotate round the spindle a. The motor shaft is geared to the shaft k, which is mounted in the long bearing l and provided with a worm m gearing with a worm-wheel n keyed to the spindle a. Preferably an electromotor is employed and is supplied with current from the contact-rings w in the grooved underside of a disc v on the boss of the worm-wheel n.
