4484. Singleton, F. Feb. 23. Winding-on motions.- Relates to differential gearing for slubbing, intermediate, roving, and like frames. The driving-shaft a, Fig. 1, carries two discs b, c, the one b mounted on the shaft, and the other c loose and driving the bobbins. The internal cogs on the discs b, c gear with two unequal eccentric spur-wheels d, e which rotate together by means of a connecting-pin g and slot s. The wheels d, e are mounted on the loose eccentric sleeve f, driven from the cone drum shaft. In a modification, Fig. 2, the wheel b, mounted loosely and driving the bobbins, is driven from the wheel c which is loosely mounted on the eccentric d driven from the cone drum shaft. The wheel c is also driven from the shaft a by the disc F through a second disc K, mounted on the same eccentric as the wheel c, or on an unequal eccentric, the motion being obtained by means of pins and slots g, g1, s, s1.
