20,725. Jones, W. V., and Hilderini, D. Oct. 13. Shooting-galleries.-Relates to prizedistributing shooting-galleries which need no attendant. Explosive cartridges are used for propelling the shots. Opposite the pistol &c. P' is the curved target E with a hole at the bull's eye. Behind the hole is a plate G connected by swinging arms g, K and a link M to the pawl N, which may engage with the catch o on the spring- actuated slide O. The prizes are contained in packets P, which are delivered by the slide O to the hopper F closed by a counterweighted door f, which may be opened by pulling the knob D. This knob is fixed to a rod l carrying an arm r engaging with the door f. The rod l is connected by a cord s to the slide 0, so that the slide may be pulled back to bring the catch 0 behind the pawl N. When the bull's eye is struck, a bell i is rung, and a prize is placed ready for removal by the marksman. An ordinary automatic machine, fixed to the shooting-gallery, is used to supply the ammunition.
