Bungs and bung-holes; tapping.-A bush for the taphole, or bung-hole of a cask, barrel, jar, &c. comprises an outer metal casing A with an annular flange a, a liner B of rubber, wood, or other flexible material, and a cap or cover C. Holes c for securing-screws are provided, but these may be dispensed with when the sleeve of the bush is screwed, and the inner surface of the liner may be plain or grooved.
