Tobacco.-An apparatus for containing and cutting twist tobacco comprises a tube A, divided into compartments by radial partitions, in which sticks of tobacco are inserted, and provided with a perforated bottom a6. The top piece of this tube with a detachable cover is made up of a vertical ring a', the lower end a8 of which fits on the top end a9 of the tube A and carries within it the radial cutting-blades c. To the blades is fixed a screw - threaded rod D which passes centrally through the tube and is fixed to the bottom a6. A false bottom E, on which the tobacco sticks rest, comprises a flat ring with radial slots, and has a central hole provided with a thread working on the rod D. The top piece is rotated by a handle suitably fixed, the bottom E pressing the tobacco automatically against the cutting-blades c.
