Gas and like engines.-In ignition systems which comprise multiple induction coils A, B with separate trembler or tremblers a operated by an extra single coil or coils A', the primaries of the induction coils being in series with the extra coil or coils, a condenser C' is provided across each induction coil in addition to a condenser or condensers C across the trembler or tremblers. Where more than one extra trembler-operating coil is used, a change-over switch places one or other in circuit; also if a single condenser is used for the tremblers it is connected in parallel with the series of tremblers. The condensers on the induction coils are each connected on one side to earth, and on the other with one of the insulated terminals of the distributor F.
