In high-speed multiple-trembler induction-coil ignition systems, the commutator break is relied on to produce sparking at the ignition plug in the event of the tremblers ceasing to act when the engine runs at high speed. Each coil has an independent trembler and condenser, one side of the condensers, and also one secondary terminal of each induction coil being earthed. In the ignition system shown in the Figure, the primaries A of the induction coils are connected to condensers C earthed on one side through a wire 3, to which are connected the secondary circuits of the induction coils A, B.
