Advertising.-An apparatus for introducing into soap strips or labels of paper, cloth, &c. bearing the names of firms, advertisements, &c., is provided with a knife a, comprising two or more parts a, a'. Fig. 2, so arranged that they can be introduced simultaneously into the soap, carrying the strip in a doubled condition with them, but withdrawn separately to prevent the removal of the strips. The soap is carried by an adjustable support e, and the paper &c. strip is held in a guide g. Handles j, i are mounted on the parts of the knife, while an adjustable stop o limits its movement. The soap abuts against an adjustable bracket m. The soap may be fed automatically, and the strip fed from a roller and cut automatically into suitable lengths.
