15,594. Barron, J. July 22. Traps. - Relates to flap valves for intercepting - traps for the discharge of accumulations of sewage in drains or inspection chambers. A flap G, having a flange H, Fig. 3, is pivoted to a cylinder B, which is cemented into the arm P', Fig. 4, of the trap. It is fastened by the engagement of hooks M at the ends of an axle L with lugs C, the axle being journaled in the end of the pivot arm J. A pillar I connects the flap G and arm J. The flange H beds upon leather in a trough D. The valve is opened by raising a chain attached to an arm L integral with the axle.
