The amplifier has an amplifier piston (4) with a high pressure piston (6) and low pressure piston (5). A switching valve (13) is connected upstream to another switching valve (16). The latter valve connects two low pressure chambers and locks connections (12, 22) coming out from the former valve, in one switching position so as to enable fluid flow from a high pressure circuit (35) to a supply line (9). The latter valve avoids the influences of the fluid flow and disconnects a connection between the high pressure circuit and the supply line, in another switching position.
