19,988. H÷vermann, G. Sept. 23. Right to Patent relinquished. Superphosphate dens are provided with cutters arranged so that the material is cut away in slices and passes on to a central aperture. In one form of den K, Fig. 1, the material is prepared in the den, a central core m being inserted to make a free-way. Then the core m is lowered away and the shoot n moved under the aperture d. A vertical revolving shaft a, with cutters b arranged on its end so as to cut conical slices, is started and the material falls upon a conveyer o. In another form of den K, Fig. 2, the central core m is lowered to form a free-way during the preparation of the superphosphate, and is afterwards raised. The spindle p with a hollow sheath a attached is set revolving. The move - ment of the nuts u along the screws t causes the knives b, b1, attached to the arms q, r, to pass through a slot in the sheath a and cut away the superphosphate, which drops through the shoot n to the conveyer o. It may be arranged that the cores m are moved in to the centre from the sides of the chambers.
