Cord files; leaves and the like. - In notebooks, pocket-books, scribbling-pads, and other loose-leaf or refill books, of the kind in which binding-threads &c. are arranged in conjunction with a cover, the threads d are tightened by means of a flap &c. f, which is held in its closed position by means of a second flap g. The leaves &c. a are provided with ears or projections b, Fig. 2, which are formed with notches c for engagement by the threads &c.
