Dust, preventing rising and spreading of.-In apparatus for preventing raising of dust by motor and other road vehicles, in which a fan actuated from the driving-gear or road wheels of the vehicle is arranged to deliver air at the rear of the tyres, the fan is actuated directly from the wheel axle by means of a positive chain drive, and the current of air is delivered behind and beneath the rear wheels through tapering conduits terminating in flexibly - jointed rose spreaders.
