11,007. Atherton, W. May 4. Picking-straps and connexions.-The picking- stick is connected to the picker by means of an endless band 2 having a slip-knot which embraces the stick 1. The ends 5, 8 of the band may be secured permanently, or one end may be slotted and adapted to take over notches on the other end, or one end may be provided with a notched strengthening-piece. The loop 10 at the lower end of the band is passed round a tug-strap 9, and is secured by a fixing-piece 11 having slots through which the tug-strap and band pass, a staple or pin 12 fixed to the piece 11 being employed.
