Feeding webs. - Relates to apparatus for delivering postage stamps, tickets, &c. from a continuous strip of the type in which the feeding is effected by pins projecting radially from a drum and engaging in the perforations between the stamps &c. As the distance between the consecutive rows of perforations varies slightly, the distance between consecutive pins or series of pins at the points where they intersect the drum surface is made equal to the minimum distance between consecutive perforations or their equivalents in the strip to be fed. The pins are tapered and serve to support a stamp or ticket of greater length than the minimum above the drum surface. The guard-piece which retains the strip upon the pins is made of slightly less curvature than the drum and is supported somewhat loosely.
