Buoys.-A buoy for locating sunken vessels comprises an upper air chamber 6 and a lower chamber 7 in which are reels 10 provided with brakes 13 and an indicator 16, 17 showing the amount of wire 2 paid out, and thus the depth of the wreck. A gas reservoir 20 located in the compartment 7 communicates by a pipe 21 with a lamp 22 which is lighted before the vessel carrying the buoy sinks.
