Cutting-appliances. - An implement for tapping rubber and like trees comprises a handle a provided with a blade-holding portion b having a narrowed portion b1 adapted to engage with flanges c1 of the blade c, which is secured in position by a bolt d passing through slots in the blade and blade-holder, respectively. The blade-holder is provided with a slot e through which the blade c protrudes and with a ridge f to enable the tool to be tilted for making V-shaped incisions. The blade is also provided with a gap c2 to limit the width of groove made. Specification 4833/12 is referred to.
