Improvements in Foundations for Hair Transformations.

Wigs; hair switches and artificial tresses.- Relates to transformations of the kind comprising edge bands a, b, Fig. 1, held apart by springs c, and supporting-cords from which tresses are suspended. According to the invention, the cords d1, d2 are so disposed as to form a network of large mesh, the strands of which are separately secured to the edges b1 of the bands during production. The meshes may comprise a simple interlacing of the cords as shown, and may be formed entirely of one or two cords. These cords are preferably of pleated silk. Fig. 2, the hair e being separately knotted to an overlapping portion at one side of the pleat. In practice, the silk threads 1, 2, 3, 4 and hair e are of substantially equal thickness.
