Duplex and multiplex systems.-In a method of loading phantom circuits on the Pupin system, the usual double coil E, F, E1, F1 is inserted in each of the double lines A, B, A', B', and the two double coils are superposed so that the phantom circuit is loaded by the leakage fields set up between the two coils by the currents in the phantom circuits. The coils are superposed in such a way that the adjacent poles set up by currents in the phantom circuit are of different polarity.
