Plate, dish, and like racks.-A rack for draining and drying cups, glasses, plates, and other articles consists of two parts which can be separated and used independently and each folded for convenience of packing &c. Two parallel uprights R, S, are connected by rods C and by frames consisting each of end blocks M, N connected by rods A, B, the latter of which are made long enough to pass through the uprights R, S, so as to form pivots on which the frames can turn. They may be fixed in an inclined position by screws E passing through the uprights, and stops D may be provided. The whole rack may be suspended by hooks H, and projections J keep it away from the wall. The cups and glasses are supported on three bars A, B, C, and may be placed in different positions for draining. Parallel blocks P may be secured to the outer sides of the uprights to engage with uprights 9, 10 pivoted to a horizontal ladder-like frame formed of side bars 14, 15 inclined to one another, and joined by parallel rods. This frame is raised from the ground by feet 3. Hooks T, U fixed to the uprights R, S, and shoulders 7, 8 retain the cup rack in position. Plates are placed in the usual manner between the rungs of the ladder frame, the smaller towards one end, the larger towards the other. When desired, the blocks M, N may be folded against the uprights R, S, and the uprights 9, 10 folded against the ladder frame. Specification 12089/15 is referred to.
