Waue energy, utilizing.-Apparatus for utilizing wave energy in the propulsion of ships &c. comprises an open-bottomed receiver a provided with air inlet and exit pipes c, d, the end c of the exit pipe being disposed below the water level. Non-return valves c1, d1 are fitted, and the current of air in the pipe c may be utilized for driving fans, motors, &c.
