Joints and connexions.-In a corner joint for wooden or other bedsteads, the base-plate a has a projecting rib a1 with projecting lugs a2 and two parallel grooves a3, tapered as shown in Fig. 1. The ribs b2 of the slotted member b engage with these grooves a3. A wedging action is thus obtained when the parts are engaged. The positions of the grooves a3 and the ribs b2, which may be continuous or interrupted, may be reversed. Instead of being V- shaped, the grooves a3 may be of semi-circular or other section.
