Moulding hollow-ware; moulds; pressing plungers and dies; stationary-mould machines.-Teacup handles &c. are moulded by the use of two metal dies of which the lower one e is fixed while the corresponding upper one is raised and lowered. After the moulding or shaping operation, the handle is dislodged from the lower die by a spindle t which passes through an aperture u in the die and is carried by a rod o raised and lowered by a treadle. The upper die is lowered and raised by a balanced lever j which carries a toothed sector k engaging with rack teeth on the plunger c.
