Rotary strainers; non-rotary strainers with jigging elements.-In pulp-strainers of flat form or of the rotary-drum type, the arms which support the strainer are mounted at one end on fixed centres and at the opposite end directly on rotating eccentrics of the compound character, described in Specification 134,923. In inward-flow drum strainers the effect of buoyancy is neutralized by stirrups, furnished with springs, which straddle the arms and hold the arms in contact with the eccentrics.
