Tube expanders.-An apparatus for expanding deformed fireboxes and fire-tubes of steam boilers consists of a rotatable conical mandrel 3 with which engage a number of conical rolls 5 radially adjustable in slots in guide plates 6, and connected by rods 7, 10 with a sleeve 12 freely supported on a nut 13 on the threaded portion of the mandrel shaft. The rolls engage segments 8 which press against the walls to be expanded. The rolls are traversed along the mandrel by rotating the nut 13 by means of a spoked hub 14. The mandrel shaft which is rotated by worm gear from a handle 18 is provided with eyes 19, 20 so that the apparatus may be suspended from a hoist.
