Disc and like plate hinges for school seats, desks, &c. are stamped or pressed from sheet metal and to one member b of the hinge is secured a metal disc f with a projection or projections g for engagement with the radial stops l in the ring secured to the supporting arm h forming the other hinge member. The hinge members are formed with flanges, as shown, and they are connected together when assembled by a pivot pin passing through the disc members.
