Joints.-The flue 8 of a Cornish or like boiler is connected to an end plate 7 by a bulbous or dome-shaped member 9 having its smaller end connected to the end plate. The jointing member is so shaped that its front and back openings are eccentric with one another, and the flange 11 around the back opening is eccentric with the opening, the deepest part of the bulge in the member and the widest part of the flange being arranged towards the top.
