Indiarubber compositions. - Pulverulent pigments and fillers having a carbon base such as lampblack, are treated so as to coat their particles with a very thin covering of rubber insufficient to allow of spontaneous agglomerate. Lampblack, carbon, &c. is incorporated with a small quantity of rubber solution, and the solvent is vaporized. The amount of rubber may be one per cent of that of the lampblack. The materials so produced are particularly of value in the caoutchouc industry, and may be introduced as fillers into reclaimed or artificial rubber, linoleum, and plastic materials generally. Specification 205,487 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes the process as applied to any pigments or fillers. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
