Kinematograph apparatus. - Rewinding is effected bv means of a drum 3 rotatable on an axis 4 carried by a lever 5 pivoted at 6 on the arm 7 carrying the pay-out spool 16. The drum is normally kept out of engagement with a wheel 1, integral with the spool, by a belt 10 passing over a pulley 9 secured to the drum and over a pullev 11 rotated by the projector mechanism; the drum and wheel may be brought into engagement, to rewind the film 14, by movement of the lever 5. A crank 13 enables rewinding to be effected by hand, the belt 10 being first removed. The drum 3 and wheel 1 have rubber covered surfaces, but, in a modification, the rubber is omitted and the belt 10 is brought, into engagement with the wheel 1.
