Flat-presses.-A steam heated press, for pressing garments or other articles made of knitted or other textile fabrics, comprises two press beds, 1, 2, Fig. 2, arranged vertically so that each of the operating faces is maintained at the same temperature and both beds are operated simultaneously by means which leave unobstructed access into the space between them. The press beds are suspended from the horizontal rails 6 by upwardly extending brackets 12 provided with wheels 13 and they are further supported at the centre by plungers 7, 9 which also transmit a horizontal movement to the beds from cam levers 15, 21 and the cams 18, 23. An alternative arrangement provides for the press beds being supported at the bottom. Sperifications 323,188, 323,201 and 323,215 are referred to.
