[Class 78 (iv).] A vehicle having a removable body enclosing a platform adjustable therein by winch mechanism has means for connecting the platform lifting tackle to slings suspended from a stationary support so that operation of the winch raises the body. The vehicle body 3 has a movable platform 4 connected by ropes 5 passing over pulleys 6 at the top of the body to drums 7 on a shaft 8 rotatable bv gearing 11. Short lengths of eyeleted rope 14 are spliced to the platform hoisting ropes and can be engaged with hooks 15 on sling ropes 12 attached to a stationary overhead structure 13. By operating the winding mechanism the vehicle body is then raised from the undercarriage 9 which can be removed for use elsewhere.
