Catches, automatic.-A removable container which fills the interior of a closed delivery van, is held securely in position when in transit and is locked in position by a latch device at the front operated by a hand line 44 extending to the rear of the van. A latch 35 pivoted on the van and moving in a U-casting 33 engages behind a flange 42 on a latch-member 41 on the container, and a second flange 43 on the latch. member 41 is thereby held fast in the casting 33. The latch 35 is forced into engagement by a spring and is released by the line 44.
