Improvements in film-feeding mechanism for cinematograph machines

[Class 97 (i).] In feed mechanism of the type comprising endless chains carrying teeth engaging the film perforations, the chains are accommodated in slots in the base of the film gate from which only the teeth project. As shown, the chains 3 pass over sprockets 10, 11, of which one or both are driven intermittently; the chains pass through slots 2 in the base 1 of the film gate, and carry teeth 4 on lateral extensions of the side-plates or on separate plates 6 carried by the chain. The plates 6 are accommodated in grooves 7 shallower than the slots 2 and opening from them. Presser bars 8 having grooves 9 to receive the teeth may be carried by a hinged member 12.
