[Class 97 (i)] In a kinematograph projector of the kind wherein the intermittent sprocket 4 is driven by a Geneva mechanism 3, 6 driven in turn through a pinion 2 from a pinion 1 concentric with the sprocket, the pinion 2 with striker.pin 3 being rotated round the pinion 1 for " framing " the film, and wherein a differential is included in the shutter drive to enable a timing correction to be introduced simultaneously, the drive to this differential is taken from a pinion 11 on the same shaft as the pinion 2 through a pinion 12 concentric with the sprocket. The drive is taken thence through pinions 18, 16, 20, 19, 17, 151, 1511 to. the shutter 10. The pinions 16 and 17 are concentric and, together with the two integral planetary pinions 19, 20 constitute the differential. The pinions 19, 20 are rotated round the pinions 17, 16 simultaneously with the rotation of the pinion 2 round the pinion 1. Data are given of the gear sizes required to secure correct shutter timing. Chain drives to the continuously running sprockets 7, 8, 9 are provided from the shaft 15.
