[Classes 3 (i) and 3 (ii).] In internally illuminated lay figures for displaying articles of clothing, screening means are provided for directing attention to any given part of the figure. As shown, the device is illuminated by three pairs of lamps E, B, O, arranged in separate compartments in the head, bust, and legs of the figure respectively, enabling the compartments to be illuminated. separately to concentrate the attention on particular goods. The members of each pair of lamps are differently coloured, and the lamps may be illuminated in a given sequence by a suitable timing device. Instead of providing lamps within the lay figure, it may be illuminated internally by light reflected into it from a hidden external source.
