[Class 4.] An airport comprises four pairs of runways A, B, C, D arranged as shown and a loading platform 6 adapted to accommodate aeroplanes at either side thereof. Vehicles can pass from a roadway 2 to a parking place 7, across, above or beneath a roadway 10 allowing planes to pass from one side of the platform to the other. A passenger station 5 and hangars 8, 13 are provided. The aeroplanes may be raised and moved to the platform 6 on rails 12.
