[Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iv)] The paraboloidal reflector a is extended forwards as a tube c of gradually-diminishing diameter and at least two feet in length, the inner surface f of the lower half of the tube being painted, e.g. pale blue or green, or otherwise treated to render it non-reflective. Access to the lamp-bulb i is obtained through a hinged door g. The lamp is mounted in an inclined position so as to direct the light downwardly to avoid dazzle and a screw &c. may be provided to raise or lower the front, or rear, end to adjust the inclination of the beam. The lamp may be placed inside the bonnet or built into the body, particularly of a stream-lined vehicle.
