As applied to a washbasin, Fig. 1, the rail consists of a number of perforated or slotted portions 42, 43 rotatably mounted in pipe unions 101, 102, and is mounted in a recess 10 in the basin beneath an annular table 8. In the case of a bath, Fig. 4, the rinsing rails 41, 42 each comprise concentric tubes spaced apart from one another, the outer tube being provided with a handle 17 whereby the rail mav be rotated to clean the bath or to provide the occupant with a spray.
