[Class 82 (ii)] An inclined shaking table for the wet concentration of ores and the like comprises a base for the treated material consisting of a plate of a soft or flexible material which is supported in such a manner by a stiff table plate that, by the influence of the shocks imparted to the table, it will be put into such natural vibrations that the treated material is markedly influenced by the vibratory motions of the base plate. Preferably the flexible plate is made of rubber or linoleum. The underside of this plate may be provided with fillets or knobs which rest on the stiff table. The table top may constitute a part of a shaking table of any known type. In one form the inclined table 1, supported by springs 2 and actuated bv means of the eccentric rod 4, has fillets 9 supporting the rubber plate 10. The thickness of the plate may vary at different parts.
