[Class 123 (ii)] In the generation of steam by, the injection through nozzles 4 of superheated steam into the water space of a boiler drum 1, to prevent corrosion at the nozzles, each is surrounded by a jacket 7 which is shut off from the water space of the drum and which is filled with steam from the steam space of the drum or from the nozzle. A casing may be provided around the socket 3 connecting the nozzle to the steam pipe 2 to protect it from splashes from the boiler water, and heat insulation may be inserted between the socket end the nozzle.
